A gentle shift toward deeper self-care
Hey beautiful souls,
I've been thinking a lot about this phrase I saw recently: "nourished girl summer" instead of "hot girl summer." And wow, did it hit different.
Don't get me wrong—being hot is nice. But being nourished? That's something that radiates from the inside out, from your very core.
What Does It Mean to Be Nourished?
When I think "nourished," I think deeply rooted. It's that foundational wisdom our bodies already know but we sometimes forget to listen to:
Starting your morning with water (not rushing straight to coffee)
Moving your body daily when you're able
Eating protein first thing if you're a woman
Actually listening to what your body needs in each moment
The Time Reality Check
Here's something that got me thinking: We're past the halfway mark of 2025. Less than six months left in this year.
We have 24 hours in a day. About 8 go to sleep. That leaves precious little time for everything else—work, food, relationships, dreams. Our time is so precious.
So what are we doing with it? Are our daily choices contributing to our nourishment or extracting from it?
Simple Nourishment Practices
My morning hydration ritual: I fill a mason jar with room temperature water the night before, add sea salt and lemon juice. My body is so grateful for this simple act of care.
The bigger picture: When we start from the inside—soul, spirit, heart—we naturally tune in. We stop rushing through life on autopilot and start asking: What does this nourished version of me need right now?
Finding Softness in the Hard Edges
Life already has plenty of hard edges. There are challenges, difficulties, mountains to climb. But we get to introduce the softness—not just for our physical bodies, but for our souls.
This isn't about perfection. I forget all the time. I'll be scrolling on my phone and suddenly 15 minutes have passed, and I'm like, "Wait, what about my dreams and my life?"
It takes awareness. It takes discernment. It takes dedication to your path. And we're all capable of it.
An Invitation
This summer (and beyond), what if we chose nourishment over the rush? What if we listened a little deeper to the wisdom our bodies already hold?
What does your nourished summer look like?
P.S. I'm starting a 75 Extra Soft experience on the 24th—a gentle, heart-led container for anyone ready to get back on top of their wellbeing. It's about structure that helps you flow, not rigidity that restricts you.
Much love, Jennifer 💙
